1. Automatic winding bumper automatic Eterna wristwatch. The serial number dates the watch to 1948. It has a stainless steel screw-back case, about 35mm. The lug width is 18mm. The well-regarded 1159H movement was serviced in August. It is paired with a lovely new suede strap. The champagne dial with gold accents is in exceptional condition. This watch was well-kept over the last 75 years. The condition is pleasing. You would be hard-pressed to find a nicer vintage timekeeper.

2. This is a scarce 34mm watch. It is a Smiths Tropical retailed by J.W. Benson. This watch is collectible because it is the same pattern Sir Edmund Hillary took on his climb to Mount Everest. Manufactured circa 1953, it is the same dial as the expedition watch but with the addition of the Benson name. This is as close as you can get to an actual expedition watch. The movement is a Smiths Deluxe 16-jewel with an interior dust cover. It has a chrome-plated screw-back case. It is running well, but the service history is unknown. Pleasing patina on the dial. Older brown leather strap.
