Up for sale is this stunning 1976 Tudor Submariner, famously known as the “Snowflake,” featuring a vintage blue dial. This reference 9411/0, with an 840,000 serial number, dates to 1976. The watch is sold as "watch only" and fits a wrist size up to 7.25 inches.
This all-original piece is particularly special, as its case and bracelet were fully produced by Rolex. It includes the original folded link 7836 Rolex bracelet with 380 end links, a Rolex clasp and caseback, and the Rolex crown with the iconic coronet logo.
The overall condition is excellent for its age, with no significant dings, dents, or deep scratches—just surface-level marks consistent with regular wear. While the case may have been polished in the past, it remains sharp with intact lugs. The bracelet and clasp show signs of polishing but have been done tastefully, preserving the original material. The blue dial’s lume plots have aged beautifully, developing a rich patina that matches the handset. There is a light scratch on the dial near the hand stack, just left of center. The plexiglass crystal has several marks, including some slightly deeper scratches. The bi-directional rotating bezel has developed a greyish-blue hue over time, though the pip at 12 o’clock is missing.
Inside, the watch houses the reliable ETA 2784 movement, notable for its quick-set date function—an upgrade that the equivalent Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 did not have at the time.
Don’t miss your chance to own this piece of horological history for 12,000$ + ship or F2F in MTL.
