Up for grabs is a re-creation of the Alpinist, limited to 1959 pieces.
The proportions are rather demure by modern standards, yet there is beauty in its vintage like simplicity.
The dial plays a deep black, with an almost Urushi like glossy lacquer format.
The Alpinist was designed for the explorer/Adventurer, with the zig zag stitching atop the Bundt strap and the slanted keeper.
The watch has been updated for modern standards with a boxed sapphire crystal, AR coating to the inside and a 6L35 movement powering the watch that runs within COSC
Coming in at 36.6mm, a 43.8mm lug and a 11.1 thickness, it gives the impression of a smaller watch, yet paired with the Bundt strap, wears more like a 39mm timepiece.
The watch has minimal signs of wear with the most being to the case back and some minor wear to the case sides.
Retail when available was $3725. In asking $2150 in the GTA for this example
