Up for grabs is what I’ve considered to be one of the best homages to the submariner, while still retaining its own character.
Featuring a mix of both 5 digit subs and the current 12XXXX lineup, it’s got the best of both worlds, something Ginault does best.
Coming in at a 40.7mm width, 12mm thickness and a 47mm lug to lug, it wears perfectly on my 7.5” wrist
The Sellita SW200 movement inside keeps time well within COSC and is easily serviced as one can get.
On wrist, the watch has a good amount of heft, similar to that of current Subs and the inner AR coating on the sapphire crystal (better than the sub, really) coupled with spectacular lume application to the markers, handsets and bezel, aides in the overall legibility
The large crown and lack of crown guards make for easy operation and the transition from case to bracelet with slightly differentiating finish harkens back to the 5 digit models.
The sapphire bezel insert is a nice addition you don’t see on too many watches these days and is a quality upgrade for a diver.
The quick adjust clasp is nearly as good as the hallmark subs which is no small feat and the ease of wear is seconded only by the OG.
The bezel action is much better than the Ocean Rover counterpart, and about 99% that of the submariner.
It has taken me some time to post this up for sale as I’ve seriously considered keeping it, but alas I can’t let go of any of my current pieces.
Warranty is good till 2025 and for this package I’m asking $1499 in the GTA or plus shipping,
