Up for grabs is my Air King with the new case design, which I have to admit, I quite enjoy.
The watch shows signs of wear on the bracelet, rear lugs, clasp and on the case sides.
None of the wear signs are major, and can easily be buffed out by a watchmaker though I find the watch more wearable with some blemishes.
There are no dents or dings and the crystal is perfect.
Now that we are done with the ugly, on to the good.
This watch is as funky, cool and wearable as a watch should be.
The polished bezel juxtaposed with the overall brushed finish result in the watch popping on wrist.
The green seconds hand with the green text and yellow coronet add just enough colour without being too playful.
My favourite upgrade on the watch is the case design, while even though slab sided, yields a more masculine presence and the subtle crown guards a more tooly experience, while the reduced 12mm thickness make this watch far more wearable than the outgoing model.
The evenness of the numerals in the dial are less comical and far more legible.
These models feature five links with screws, not counting the links attached to the clasp.
The watch comes as a complete set including the original receipt, white and green tag, warranty card and manual/booklet.
Retail is $9450 plus tx, I’m asking $10,549 in the GTA or plus shipping
