Watch collecting is a fickle business. I spent years trying to track down the Bulova chronograph trio and was able to accomplish that last year. However, I am finding myself reaching to my new surfboard model more than this one, and am trying to keep my collection from ballooning so am putting this one up for sale. The thrill really was in the chase [emoji1].
This Bulova Deep Sea chronograph is in excellent shape for its age, but to be clear is a vintage watch. What makes it special is the dial patina, that has aged wonderfully and first drew me to this piece. I'm also including the very difficult to find chicklet bracelet that is sizes just to a 7" wrist with no additional links, and have installed Omega springbars as well as they are simply the best imo and I now wear them with everything.
Please note that this bracelet has some wear and does have some slight tearing at the endlinks - I've tried to capture in the pictures. It's included more as a complete package but I would add caution to regular wear. As a result, I'm also including a number of bracelets and straps I would usually wear with it.
It's running well with the valjoux 7733, and I would say currently loses around 10ish seconds/day for me. Had a full service in Aug of 2022 (happy to provide receipt proof), and did have a Hawaii moisture ingress scare that was addressed immediately with them and confirmed that no issues with the watch - for whatever reason I cannot find that receipt! Asking a fair $1,450 shipped and insured via flagship. My heart's not totally into the sale of this one, so am going to be firm on the price and not looking for any trades at this time.
