Up for sale is my friend’s Cartier Santos Dumont Skeleton White Gold XL W2020033. It’s an incredible skeletonized watch that I believe is desirable and distinct from other skeletons for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it fits like a glove and is sleek - if you’ve ever tried on a Santos-Dumont, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Secondly, it’s incredibly thin and well designed with the numerals being built into the movement itself. This Quill & Pad article (link here) describes its similarities and differences from the more recently released Santos De Cartier skeleton. In short, this one is more slick and refined. It’s for sale for 35K CAD. Note that it retailed for ~70K CAD when it was initially released so there’s a ton of value here.
This Cartier comes as a full set with box, booklets, papers, strap, deployant, and loupe. This watch was originally purchased in Ginza, Japan in 2017. From what I can tell, it has been worn sparingly since and is in great condition. The photos below of the watch are taken with my Sony A7III 90mm Macro lens or Leica Q3 under natural lighting in Feb, 2025. The first 13 photos are for inspiration and have been lightly touched up (e.g., lighting). The final 11 photos are unedited and are designed to show the watch’s condition.
