For true enthusiasts who enjoy smaller, vintage timepieces -- up for sale is a beautiful, scarcely seen neo-vintage chronograph from a very underrated Swiss brand, Eberhard & Co. Eberhard is known mostly for its vintage chronographs and its "extra fort" bicompax models. You will see a decent amount of Eberhards on the market from Italian sellers and dealers as the brand only really took off in popularity in Italy. They have very tasteful designs and use only Swiss movements. The manufacture has been around for over 130 years and is still ticking today!

This particular version is the reference 36008 which was produced by Eberhard in the 1980s/1990s to commemorate their older Royal Navy chronographs from the 1930s. The case measures 36.3mm (with crown) and 33.2mm (without crown), with a lug-to-lug of 37.1mm and a 12.1mm thickness. It hugs the wrist perfectly on the well worn-in brown leather lizard strap.

This is a tri-compax chronograph cased in Sterling Silver, but gold plated. It runs on a reliable and serviceable Lemania 1873 manual-winding caliber which has been decorated and branded by Eberhard. Service history for this watch is unknown, but it is running fairly well at about +26 s/d, with a healthy beat rate of 0.5ms and ticking away at 21,600 vph.

Original box and warranty card included and dated December 29, 1990. Original lizard strap with E&C signed gold clasp. Extra croc strap included as well.

You will see comps for this exact reference between $1500-3000 CAD based on condition and contents.

I am asking $1850 OBO. F2F in Toronto or I will ship it anywhere in Canada via UPS, at my cost. No trades please.

Happy to field any questions about this unique piece!

Adding a photo of the caseback, and another side-by-side with a Datejust 36 so you can get a sense of the relative size.

Open to trades for anything that is under 40mm (and no greater than 47mm lug-to-lug) - preferably something with full kit! Divers, dress or daily - all welcome. Willing to consider straight up trades or combo of watch + cash.
