Up for sale is a Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronometer Anniversary 160. This example is one of 160 made, and features a solid gold case and a genuine white porcelain dial (very difficult to manufacture). The reference number is 266-65 and measures 43mm.
This piece had a release date of 2006, and comes with a massive outer box, inner wood box, certificates and manuals. Online, there are a few different box sets that i see could have come with this piece. Some of them came with a barometer (there is a slot for it in this box set), but most of the time it is separated from the set and sold separately. That is the case here, it was probably seperated and sold at some point in its lifetime.
This watch is a heavy brick of gold, with no visible dings or dents on the case to disclose. There are very tiny surface scratches, inevitable, that could probably be taken care of with a light buff. I saw see 2 very small dings on the edge of the bezel, at the 4 and 6, not noticeable unless you’re tilting in the light. The brown croc strap was replaced within the year, and is in fantastic condition.
The movement is a UN26, based off a calibre 2892. There is no service history with this one, however, it was sold through a reputable Canadian AD recently as a second hand piece, and they checked it before its sale.
Last MSRP of this piece was well over 30k USD. Offered at $14,500 shipping included, and I will entertain all trades on this one!
