Background
- Ricoh Dynamic Wide "Sony" dual-dial automatic watch in a sophisticated "President" style with fluted bezel and dagger hands.
- Riding on a stock Ricoh beads of rice bracelet.
- Came to me in early 2024 in an estate sale, likely from a former Sony employee (in a lot with dual-branded Seiko-Sony and 70s JDM Seikos).
- My guess, it was "parked" for years due to rotor issues (stamped metal rotors suck).
- The Ricoh 21 jewel automatic movement was serviced in 2024 by Quality Jewellers in Toronto, including a new-to-the-watch rotor, and running well (see timegrapher photos).
- Did you know that Ricoh was made watches and their own movements?
- ~36mm.
- Japanese made, likely sometime in the 70s, with "Sony"-branded dual dial.
