If you are just getting into collecting vintage watches, this Bulova Sea King from 1971 is an excellent and reliable automatic piece. With it's gold plated oval case and sunburst dial, it has a very clean and easy to read look and a strong wrist prescence that has a great retro style! Freshly service, this watch will provide dependable service for many years to come. This rare Bulova 11ANACD has great construction and in many ways is much more robust than many modern or ETA movements. The overall design and machining of the parts is much more solid than many other movements on the market.
Dial: Beautiful champagne sunburst dial with date aperture at 3 o’clock. A logo of a whale printed in lower centre of dial. Hands and indices are gold-colored with black for contrast. Date wheel features gold date on black background. Overall condition: Excellent
Movement: Bulova 11ANACD Movement with Kif shock absorption on the balance. Quick set date by setting hands between 9pm-12am. Completely serviced and regulated to +000 seconds/day! With any mechanical timepiece, variations in gravity and position will affect the real-life timing. Condition: Excellent.
Case: 10k Gold plated oval with brushed finish. Case back engraved "Teraulay Staff 1971”, likely from the Teraulay St. College of Applied Arts and Sciences (now George Brown College). Overall condition: Fair
Strap: 18mm brown italian calf leather strap with gold buckle and contrast stitching. Overall condition: Brand new.
