Hey folks
Up for grabs is a banger of a watch; a watch that puts the B-Ling in Breitling.
With a striking blue dial encased in steel and 18k yellow gold, it’s a watch that garners a fair bit of attention.
Coming in at 42.7mm with a 48mm lug to lug and a thickness of 15.3mm, it wears well on my 7.3” wrist.
The early 2000’s generation of Breitling had a certain pizzaz to the timepieces that the current selection is missing, one that felt equal parts luxury and tool watch.
This example is no different thanks to the steel case and gold embellishments across the watch head.
The gold tone Roman numerals and subdial rings add ample glitter to the overall aesthetic and is an overall attention grabber.
Powering the watch is the Breitling 13 automatic COSC movement, essentially a modified valjoux 7750 that is easily serviced.
While no recorded service history by myself, it is running well within cosc at a strong amplitude over 280, which seems to indicate a service in the last half decade.
The timepiece is equipped with the rarely seen UTC module attached to the bracelet, also featuring an 18k bezel and gold hands, ideal for the world traveler.
I purchased this off the original owner who wore this piece as a daily and as such there are cursory wear signs commensurate with the age, though nothing outlandish or egregious.
The only foible I would consider worth noting is that the date change comes a bit early around 22:15 instead of midnight, which could be due to a misaligned handset with the date wheel.
As a one owner piece, it includes all the manuals, warranty paper, extra links, double box (inner lid has detached from the inner box) as well as the bezel protector.
Comparables without the UTC Module are north of $5,000 with incomplete sets and not local to Canada. The UTC module by itself goes for about $1,000.
I’m asking a reasonable $4250 shipped from the GTA.
