Up for grabs is one of the few watches that do sporty, classy and edgy equally well, especially at the sub 5k price point.
This ref 00.10919.08.53.21 features a beautiful blue dial with a bicompax layout that is both handsome and legible.
Most standard chronographs require a start/stop/reset/restart to time consecutive events; a Flyback does away with 2 of those needless steps and allows you to time consecutive events with ease and without missing a step.
On the bracelet the watch has a good amount of heft and is currently sized for my 7.4” wrist comfortably.
The watch measures at 43mm x 53mm x 14.5mm, making it ideal for wrists over 7”
There are an additional 3 links in the bag, which should add another 1” to the total length.
Powering the watch is the CFB 1970 which is the column wheel Flyback version based on the Le Joux Perret 7771 movement, running well at +3s/day.
The only niggle that is notable is that the chrono hand at rest is just a bit past the 12, which is also how it resets on Flyback, it’s likely one of the gears might need to be realigned.
Overall condition of the watch is very good given the age, with only a few scratches on the clasp, polished bits of the links, caseback and case sides - nothing serious but worth overstating for clarity.
The watch comes as a full set with double box, manual, warranty card and extra links.
