Available for sale today is this stunning 2023 Grand Seiko GMT “SHŌSHO” ref. SBGJ249G. This watch is sold as a complete collectors set and comes double boxed with papers (GS certificate of inspection, warranty card, Movement operating instructions), all links, an additional Hirsch leather strap, as well as the balance of factory warranty through march 2028.
This watch is in excellent condition as it has only been worn on a handful of occasions. The watch case and crystal are completely mint while the bracelet shows a handful of light desk marks on a couple of the center links. No deep scratches or fleabites to declare, overall 9/10.
This version of Grand Seiko’s GMT is extra special with its unique SHŌSHO dial. The pale blue dial is loaded with different textures that dance in the light alongside the perfectly mirrored, diamond polished indices. This dial epitomizes the finishing prowess that Grand Seiko dials have become famously known for. The watch is powered by the automatic Hi-beat in house caliber 9S86 with 55 hour power reserve. This movement ticks away at 36000 beats per hour (10 beats per second) allowing for a smoother sweeping seconds hand all whilst keeping an accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds per day.
