For today we have a rarely available GS with the Spring Drive 9R66 movement.
The watch comes as a full kit in very good overall condition with some minor hairlines to one side of the bracelet and the faintest of hairlines to the case side.
Coming in at 40.5mm this example wears a bit smaller than the dimensions on paper.
Owing to the balance of beauty and tool watch, thanks in part to the ceramic GMT bezel, it is a suitable offering for a daily or travel timepiece.
The red dial, juxtaposed with the black bezel provide a rich and luxurious wearing experience with the gold GS logo as the cherry on top.
The red dial is more of a blood red in most lights and changes tone and hue depending on lighting situations max though not by a huge margin, and not to the extent of vibrancy that would be off putting.
The clasp features a micro-adjustable clasp, something most GS lack and useful for this hot summer days we so miss.
The watch comes as a full set including box, papers, warranty card, extra links and hang tags, currently sized snug for my 7.3” wrist.
Dated 2025, it retains the bulk of the warranty until 2029
This model is limited to 1300 pieces and hits different compared to its blue, green and black counterparts.
