Hey folks
Up today I have one of my all time favourite iterations of the Speedmaster, the DSOTM.
I’ve had this model in my collection previously and sold it for the sake of variety, only to regret the decision and add it back into the collection once more. Chances are, I will regret this decision it as well, but for now, it is a redundancy in my collection and for that reason, it must go.
I used to be averse to owning this piece owing to its size at 44.25mm, however factoring in the all black hue, the bombé lugs and its 99g weight, the watch appears and feels smaller than you think it should.
The DSOTM in my opinion represents the strides Omega has taken both in the technological and horological avenues, i.e.
it stays true to the Speedmaster heritage while employing the use of ceramic to a much higher degree than most other brands, achieving that mix of brush and polish on the case flanks and chamfers that I’ve yet to see other brands accomplish as well.
You also get a Bicompax subdial layout, which makes for a cleaner, more balanced visual aesthetic along with a date at the best possible placement, 6’o clock.
The caliber 9300 is a 28,800 VPH movement with a column wheel mechanism viewed through what I can only describe as a theatre in comparison to other casebacks, allowing you to witness almost the entire movement come to life.
This model DSOTM comes on the coated nylon fabric strap attached to the upgraded ceramic and titanium deployant clasp.
This reference 311.92.44.51.01.007 is dated 2021 from a local Canadian AD, and includes the full set, hang tag with matching serial, pillow, booklet, 2 cards and wallet, outer box, watch pouch and original invoice, which retails at $15,900 + tax
The watch is in mint condition, with no marks on case, minimal if any wear on the strap, no marks on the buckle.
I’m offering it at $11,650 shipped across Canada, or can entertain some lateral trades or trades down.
