Hello vintage Omega fans!
Well well... Offering this beautiful 163.032, large 36mm (36.25) on original bracelet. I purchased it back in Nov of 2024 from Bulang and Sons in the Netherlands. The case and bracelet are in amazing condition. No dings, no deep scratches, the dial has acquired a warm creamy circular glow. The hands and markers are perfect and there is no pitting of any kind. There is no lume on this Japan edition.
The Inside Story:
The Seamaster name was used by Omega for a huge range of watches including dive and dress pieces. This is a very nice example of a dress watch that was originally sold to a member of the US military as demonstrated by the Army and Airforce Exchange receipt (sold in 1970 for $83!) and the original guarantee booklet also has the Exchange stamp.
This is a large size 36mm dress watch in steel with a lovely silver circular-brush finished dial. The pie-pan dial features both day and date in a window at three o’clock. The watch is fitted with a steel bracelet reference 1069 with 524 endlinks.
The watch comes with an Omega archive extract that confirms that the watch was made in 1968 and delivered to Japan.
Specifications:
- Omega Seamaster 166.032
- 36mm steel case (actual size 36.25mm).
- Silver circular brushed dial with day and date window (date is quick set and day is slow set)
- Plexiglass crystal with Omega engraved logo in the centre. Perfect condition.
- No lume dial
- Steel bracelet ref 1069 with ref 524 endlinks
- Papers with military provenance (US Air Force Exchange in Japan. Including original receipt! Yes!)
- Omega archive extract (rare... since these extract are discontinued from Omega)
- Movement serial is 2762xxxx
- Fully checked by the Buland and Sons watchmaker
- One-year mechanical warranty from Bulang and Sons. And I can attest that this watch keep perfect time and is fully functional.
- The movement is a beautiful caliber 752 (automatic, sweeping seconds hands with day)
I am dowsizing my collection considerably with retirement now on my radar for the not too distant future! So, I have decided to let this one go...
Happy to answer any questions.
