Selling my beloved Arnie. Only worn a few times and shows no signs of use. I am a big fan of Ani/Digi's but this one just does not feel right on the wrist to me. This one comes with inner and outer box, manual and hang tag.
Street Series 'Arnie' Safari Edition. This diver’s watch is a modern re-interpretation of the Seiko world-first 'Hybrid divers' originally released in 1982 and named hybrid because it combines analogue and digital watch technology. This specific model is also known as the ‘Arnie’ after the actor who wore it in the film ‘Commando' and its watch shape is affectionately nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ - because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin - loved for decades since its release. Prospex Street series was developed to combine looks and substance: coupling Seiko fans’ enthusiasm for watch design styles alongside the expertise from 5 decades of creating diving watches. The retro ‘tuna’ shape from the 1975 divers’ model has been channelled into a more compact yet reinforced watch, robust enough to dive 200m under the sea but stylish enough to be worn on the street. The watch's shape is affectionately nicknamed by Seiko fans as a ‘Tuna’ - because of its larger diameter and bold shape like a tuna tin. Solar-powered, the watch charges from natural and electric light. The accordion-style silicone strap combines style, high durability, and comfort - a strap design invented by Seiko as a practical solution to the expansion and contraction of a diver's wrist at different depths.
The stainless steel and plastic case measures at 47.8 mm in diameter. The watch’s strap is made of silicone.
The watch features a unidirectional bezel.
A hardlex crystal protects the dial.
Luminescent hands and hour-markers.
Water-resistant to 200 metres or 20 bars.
Features on the model include a perpetual calendar, alarm, a chronograph, LED function and a power-saving function.
