Hey folks
For your consideration I have what can only be deemed quintessential Rolex.
Arguably the perfect “one watch”/ GADA Rolex, it is the piece that you can wear daily with no pretension, yet knowing that you have a truly quality timepiece adoring your wrist.
With an inky black dial, sufficient lume and the perfectly proportioned Mercedes handset, it is recognizable, timeless and classic by design.
This is the MK2 version with lume on all markers and the handset that extends outward to the minute markings.
I don’t need to rave about the watch as it’s wrist presence speaks for itself.
Dated 2018 August, this piece has been worn and loved, though rather gently.
There are some signs of use by way of minor scratches on the bezel and on the links near the clasp. Thankfully the clasp has little to no signs of wear.
I’ve placed the watch in the timegrapher to verify accuracy and it runs as can be seen, a steady +2s a day, which you should expect from a timepiece of this caliber.
There is a balance of approx 1.5 years warranty on the watch, though it’s unlikely you will need it.
At 39mm, with a time only complication, it was and still is (to me) the most functional and perfectly sized Rolex for my slightly under 7” wrist.
Asking a reasonable $13,849 for this rather remarkable wrist companion.
