This beautiful Flieger pilot watch was purchased last year directly from Archimede/Ickler in Pforzheim, Germany. This is the 42mm "Historic" model, meaning it is faithful to the original Flieger watches with a sterile dial and no date. At the time I was torn between this and the Stowa Flieger, but decided on the Archimede because I liked the sharper case lines, diamond crown, and case work that Ickler is famous for.
The watch has a few minor wear marks as expected, but otherwise is in excellent condition and the Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 runs exceptionally accurate (see my records below). Will include the original (unworn) rivetted Flieger strap and a variety of straps I also tried with the watch. The Superluminova C3 lume is applied thick and even and easily gives my Seiko divers a run for the money.
I am regretfully selling this because I recently purchased a grail and need to thin out a few watches from my collection.
