Background
- A legendary Aquastar 63 (aka 1701) Diver that set the tone for the classic dive case.
- Very cool DuWard (Spanish market, so says teh internets) co-branding and there's ghost logo under the dial.
- I bought it as a parts watch and harvested the unobtainium stock stem (with the provision for the bezel gear), bezel gear and the stock crown.
- Swapped in the "regular" AS 1701 stem from my good Aquastar which has an ugly little wrong crown
- To be clear, this is a project watch and it needs (at a minimum):
- Service (not running, balance spins)
- Crystal (I have a dive crystal that'll fit, just ask)
- Crown is not correct.
- Note - Internal bezel won't turn with stem in it and the bezel gear is not present.
